Atlanta Falcons launch girls flag football programs in 20 Alabama high schools
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Tuesday that the Falcons Youth Flag Football Grant Program will reach nearly 20 Alabama HS athletic programs in 2020, allowing these programs to be started and run in local communities.
Funds for the football flag projects are from the Arthur M. Blank Family Fund. The press release mentioned by the team was aiming to portray a message “that the Falcons are strongly behind women’s empowerment through the introduction of girls’ flag football programs”.
The schools located in the north side of Alabama include Austin High School which is situated in Decatur, Decatur High School, and Hazel Green High School which are all in Madison County.
