Mater Dei Reclaims Top Spot in Media Composite Top 25

Mater Dei Football has regained the #1 spot in the media composite top 25 following a decisive 38-10 win against St. John Bosco in the southern section division 1 final. One loss in the season was for Monarchs when they failed to defeat Braves in a game.

Mater Dei's Dominant Performance

The entire game, Mater Dei dominated the field by dictating pace to control the match against their opponents St. John Bosco. The offense for the Monarchs was directed by quarterback Elijah Brown who had pass rate of 225 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Ajon Green ran for 150 yards and a touchdown. The defence too was great restricting St. John Bosco to only 7 points while making two takeaways.

Mater Dei's Legacy of Excellence

The latest win only prolong their rich history of success on the football arena of high schools. Eight times in the previous decade the Monarchs won a national record tying 39 California State Championships. In addition, they have featured in many national championship matches winning one of them in 2019.
