Ausable Valley, Beekmantown girls flag football teams grab wins

As the Section VII high school girls flag football playoffs have almost cornered the milestone, the teams are looking for the final regular season wins as a speaking volume for the high.

Ausable Valley High School and Beekmantown High School went two for two in home play, shutting out crosstown foe, Northeastern Clinton High School, at the Taylor Road fields in the day's regular season action in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys soccer.

The Bobcats played defense of the house, four interceptions, as the Patriots won 21-7 over the Peru High School Nighthawks. La’Shambo reeled in an interception by Reese Shambo and Saltus-Paul to snatch her second pick six, each of which contributed a score to Ausable’s touchdowns. Besides that, Saltus-Paul also managed to secure herself a grab in the first half.

Northern Adirondack was the one to score first with a 2-pointer while Beekmantown had a strong performance with 44 points in the first half, finishing with a convincing 66-12 victory over Northern Adirondack High School. Every senior game is a very big deal and this one had on its roster, Kayla Castine and Kaydence Rovers.  The junior Payton Parliament stole the show by tossing several passing touchdowns.
